Demon Slayer anime is really popular among the young audience, and when the new movie, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba: Infinity Castle, was released in 2025, it broke all the records. After seeing that one question has definitely come into your mind, who are the best Hashiras in Demon Slayer?
So to give these questions an answer, I have created the Demon Slayer Tier List. In this Tier List, I ranked all the Hashiras from best to average. In this ranking guide, I have not ranked the demons and the other characters like Nezuko, Yoriichi, Muzan, etc. Because there are more than 160+ characters, and their powers and skills levels are totally different, it’s difficult to rank them. However, I want to dedicate this post to Hashiras, so I have created only Hashira rankings.
Who are Hashiras?
In Demon Slayer, the Hashira are protecting people from the demons. They mainly fight against Muzan, who is the Damon King. To become a Slayer, some people join the Demon Slayer Corps and pass the final selection, which is actually a deadly survival test in a demon forest.
To become a slayer to Hasira, a slayer must have mastered a breathing style. They train under senior slayers or Hashiras to become physically and mentally strong. And finally, a slayer becomes Hasira by one of two requirements. The first one is to defeat at least fifty demons, and the second one is to defeat 1 upper or lower moon demon. Now, let’s see the Hashira rankings through the Tier List.
Demon Slayer Tier List 2025
Here, I ranked all the Demon Slayer Hashiras from best to average. The top Hashira ranged in Tier SS and then Tier S, and then continued to Tier C. So see the Hashira’s ranking and know who the best Hashiras of the Demon Slayer are.

| Hashira | Breathing Style | Tier |
|---|---|---|
| Gyomei Himejima | Stone | Tier – SS |
| Muichiro Tokito | Mist | Tier – S |
| Sanemi Shinazugawa | Wind | Tier – S |
| Obanai Iguro | Serpent | Tier – S |
| Giyu Tomioka | Water | Tier – A |

| Mitsuri Kanroji | Love | Tier – B |

Along with that, some of the other Hashiras are also in the Demon Slayer that do not alive in the current timeline, like Jigoro Kuwajima and Shinjuro Rengoku. And also another supporting former member of the Demon Slayer Corps is Sakonji Urokodaki.
| Hashira | Breathing Style |
|---|---|
| Shinjuro Rengoku | Flame |
| Sakonji Urokodaki | Water |
| Jigoro Kuwajima | Thunder |
Gyomei Himejima

Gyomei Himejima is the strongest hasira in the current Demon Slayer timeline. The main character Tanjero admits that the Gyomei training is the most difficult training from all of the Hashira’s training.
Gyomei’s weapon is an axe that is connected by a chain. He is actually blind, but his senses are phenomenal, and he can defeat any demon. In the last time of Kagaya Ubuyashiki, he was full trust in Gyomei and they made a complete strategy for defeating Muzan.

Sanemi Shinazugawa

Sanemi is a powerful Demon Slayer. He’s as fast as the wind, which is why he’s called the Wind Hashira. When he fights, it is like a storm! His eyes are fierce, but he is a very kind person at heart. Yes, he’s a bit short-tempered, but hearing his story will melt your heart.
Sanemi had a very tragic experience. One day, his mother became a demon and harmed his younger siblings. Sanemi showed great courage to stop his mother. From then on, he was determined to destroy all demons.
His younger brother, Genya, also wanted to become a Demon Slayer, but Sanemi scolded him because he didn’t want Genya to get hurt. Deep down, he loves his brother very much, but he just doesn’t show it.
Obanai Iguro

Obanai Iguro is popular for his strict discipline, mysterious aura, and loyalty to the Demon Slayer Corps. He uses serpent breathing, and his unique style and unpredictable movement with his sword are so popular among the Demon Slayer fans. In the infinity castle, we see his unspoken love for Mitsuri Kanroji.
Muichiro Tokito

Muichiro Tokito is a very quiet and amazing warrior who became one of the Hashira at just 14 years old—what a wonder. Muichiro is a very quiet and thoughtful Hashira. He does not talk much, but when it comes to battle, his sword moves like lightning flashes through the mist! And yes, he is the Mist Hashira.
Muichiro learned to wield a sword and became a Hashira in just two months! Wow! How could someone become so powerful so quickly? That’s what makes him so attractive and interesting.
Giyu Tomioka

Giyu Tomioka is a calm and powerful Water Hashira. His sword movements flow like water—quite calmly and so powerful. Giyu doesn’t talk much. He is always serious, as if thinking about something. But when in dangerous situations, he immediately responds. His most notable moment is that he saved Tanjiro and Nezuko when everyone thought they were demons and wanted to kill them.
Giyu saw that Nezuko deeply loved her brother and did not want to harm anyone. That is when he showed Tanjiro the way to becoming a Demon Slayer.
Kyojuro Rengoku

The flame hashira Kyojuro Rengoku aura is on the next level. He has good physical strength, speed, and endurance, and his signature move is flame breathing 9th form. In the Mugen Train Arc, he led the mission to protect passengers from demons. And here we see the epic battle of Rengoku and Akaza. In that battle, Rengoku died, and Akaza escaped to hide from the sun. Here we see the crying moment of Tanjiro because he respects Rengoku, and he is ideal for him.
Mitsuri Kanroji

Mitsuri Kanroji is a cute love Hashira. She has a good heart, but when it comes to battle, she is nothing short of a Tornado. Mitsuri is recognized by her long pink and green hair. Her eyes are light green and she is always smiling.
But her most special thing is her strength! Yes, she is so strong that she can easily lift even the heaviest objects. Her sword is also very unique—it’s long and flexible, like a ribbon. When Mitsuri fights, her sword sways in the air, attacking enemies. Her fighting style is called Love Breathing, derived from Flame Breathing. Her moves are swift, graceful, and very unique.
Tengen Uzui

Tengen Uzui is the Sound Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps, a warrior who fights with sound. His battle moves are so fast and colorful that it feels like a festival. Tengen is very tall and strong, and he has white hair and pink eyes. Tengen was formerly a shinobi—a ninja who fights hiddenly.
But he left that path because he felt it was more important to save everyone’s lives. Now, he fights demons as a Demon Slayer. Now listen to the funniest thing—Tengen has three wives! Yes, you heard that right—Makio, Suma, and Hinatsuru. All three are also very brave and help Tengen in battle.
Shinobu Kocho

Next Hashira is Shinobu Kocho; she is an insect Hashira. Her breathing style is actually based on the flower breathing. She self-developed the insect breathing style. Unlike other Hashiras, she is a little bit physically weak. In the battle with Upper Moon Two Doma, she shows her power and skills very well, and this is one of the best fights in Demon Slayer. At the end of this fight, Shinobu lost the battle, but the fight is so memorable, and she tried her best.
Kanae Koncho

Kanae Koncho was a sweet, smiling, and kind Hashira. She always wanted to help others and wanted humans and demons to understand each other. Her younger sister, Shinobu Kocho, and adopted sister, Kanao Tsuyuri, loved her very much. Kanae taught them both how to become a Demon Slayer and how to follow their hearts.
Kanae died fighting with Doma. When Kanae met her, Doma was impressed by her innocence and beauty. But Kanae fought fearlessly. She knew Doma was very strong, yet she refused to give up.
Kanae suffered severe injuries in the fight. She knew she wouldn’t live long. But she tried to kill Doma and fought until her last breath.
Conclusion
Here, I covered all the Demon Slayer Hashira’s ranking. I know about other Hashira’s available in Demon Slayer, but I mainly covered the most important Hashira from the current timeline. Now we are all waiting for the next Demon Slayer part. So let’s end this post, and now you comment below how you liked this post and what you think about Demon Slayer Hashiras.
