Demon Slayer anime is really popular among the young audience, and when the new movie, Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba: Infinity Castle, was released in 2025, it broke all the records. After seeing that one question has definitely come into your mind, who are the best Hashiras in Demon Slayer?
So to give these questions an answer, I have created the Demon Slayer Tier List. In this Tier List, I ranked all the Hashiras from best to average. In this ranking guide, I have not ranked the demons and the other characters like Nezuko, Yoriichi, Muzan, etc. Because there are more than 160+ characters, and their powers and skills levels are totally different, it’s difficult to rank them. However, I want to dedicate this post to Hashiras, so I have created only Hashira rankings.
Who are Hashiras?
In Demon Slayer, the Hashira are protecting people from the demons. They mainly fight against Muzan, who is the Damon King. To become a Slayer, some people join the Demon Slayer Corps and pass the final selection, which is actually a deadly survival test in a demon forest.
To become a slayer to Hasira, a slayer must have mastered a breathing style. They train under senior slayers or Hashiras to become physically and mentally strong. And finally, a slayer becomes Hasira by one of two requirements. The first one is to defeat at least fifty demons, and the second one is to defeat 1 upper or lower moon demon. Now, let’s see the Hashira rankings through the Tier List.
Demon Slayer Tier List 2025
Here, I ranked all the Demon Slayer Hashiras from best to average. The top Hashira ranged in Tier SS and then Tier S, and then continued to Tier C. So see the Hashira’s ranking and know who the best Hashiras of the Demon Slayer are.

Gyomei Himejima
Gyomei Himejima is the strongest hasira in the current Demon Slayer timeline. The main character Tanjero admits that the Gyomei training is the most difficult training from all of the Hashira’s training.
Gyomei’s weapon is an axe that is connected by a chain. He is actually blind, but his senses are phenomenal, and he can defeat any demon. In the last time of Kagaya Ubuyashiki, he was full trust in Gyomei and they made a complete strategy for defeating Muzan.
Sanemi Shinazugawa
Sanemi is an amazing Wind Hashira, and his unpredictable movement is so awesome. His body was covered with scratches that showed his countless battles and dedication to demon hunting. He has exceptional speed, reflexes, and low power that make him one of the most powerful Hashira. He is so aggressive Hashira, and there are many clashes in the Demon Slayer; he also has clashes with Tanjiro.
Obanai Iguro
He is the most interesting personality, the Serpent Hashira Obanai Iguro. He is popular for his strict discipline, mysterious aura, and loyalty to the Demon Slayer Corps.
He uses serpent breathing, and his unique style and unpredictable movement with his sword are so popular among the Demon Slayer fans. In the Infinity Castle, we see his unspoken love for Mitsuri Kanroji.
Muichiro Tokito
Muichiro Tokito is the Mist Hashira known for his calm nature and tragic backstory. He became a Hashira in just two months after joining the Demon Slayer Corps.
He uses Mist Breathing, and his fighting skills are so amazing. He plays a major role in defeating Upper Moon Five Gyokko. If we talk about his backstory so he lost his twin brother Yuichiro in a demon attack, which has deeply shaped his personality.
Giyu Tomioka
Giyu Tomioka is a water Hashira. He is a soft-hearted Hashira, and he is very protective, especially for Tanjiro and his sister, Nezuko. Actually, he was the first to protect Tanjiro and Nezuko. He always feels sad and guilty for the death of his friend Sabito. The most memorable moment of Giyu Tomioka was when he used the 11th form of dead calm.
Kyojuro Rengoku
The flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku aura is on the next level. He has good physical strength, speed, and endurance, and his signature move is flame breathing 9th form. In the Mugen Train Arc, he led the mission to protect passengers from demons.
And here we see the epic battle of Rengoku and Akaza. In that battle, Rengoku died, and Akaza escaped to hide from the sun. Here we see the crying moment of Tanjiro because he respects Rengoku, and he is ideal for him.

Mitsuri Kanroji
One of the beautiful Hashira is Mitsuri Kanroji, and her breathing is love breathing. She is looking very cute, and nature-wise wise she is very sweet, but on the battlefield, she is very strong. Her weapon is a whip-like Nichirin sword, and her moves and combat style are amazing.
And one funny fact is that she joined the Demon Slayer Corps to find someone stronger than her to marry. And if we talk about the soft corner so she has a feeling for Obanai Iguro.
Tengen Uzui
This Hashira’s personality and confidence are so amazing. I talk about the sound Hashira Tengen Uzui. His weapon is dual Nichirin cleavers connected by a chain that actually suits his style. In the Entertainment District Arc, he teams up with Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke to battle Upper Moon Six demons, Daki and Gyutaro. In this battle, he suffered a serious injury and lost one hand, and then he took retirement from the Demon Slayer Corps. He has 3 wives, Makio, Suma, and Hinatsuru, and he happily lives with them.
Shinobu Kocho
Next Hashira is Shinobu Kocho; she is an insect Hashira. How to breathe in style is actually based on the flower breathing. She self-developed the insect breathing style. Unlike other Hashiras, she is a little bit physically weak. In the Battle with Upper Moon Two Doma, she shows her power and skills very well, and this is one of the best fights in Demon Slayer. At the end of this fight, Shinobu lost the battle, but the fight is so memorable, and she tried her best.
Kanae Koncho
Kanae is the sister of Shinobu Kocho, and she uses flower breathing. She wore a white butterfly-print haori, which Shinobu later adopted in her memory. Kanae was a very kind and sweet Hashira. She also died in the battle with Upper Moon Two Doma. Her death deeply affected Shinobu, and Shinobu tried their best to defeat Doma, but unfortunately, she could not do that.
